IF A BUMBLEBEE LANDS ON YOUR TOE: Cover Reveal Part 2

Hello Lovely Blog Readers, the final results of our cover reveal are in and I cannot wait to share them with you. My debut picture book, IF A BUMBLEBEE LANDS ON YOUR TOE is illustrated by Vikki Zhang and will be published by Yeehoo Press in 2025. Vikki created two versions of the cover, one black and one blue and we shared them with you all for a vote, tabulated the votes and we have a winner! I’m super happy with our decision!!! I know you will love it because they are both so beautiful it was hard to decide.

About the Book:

IF A BUMBLEBEE LANDS ON YOUR TOE by Cynthia Mackey and Vikki Zhang

In the end, we went with the blue cover for the following reasons:

• -feels like springtime
• -children said it seemed like daytime and the black background seemed like night time
• -more child friendly
• -gorgeous, unique, special shade of blue
• -love how the fairy’s hair and the orange fox look against the blue

Also, blue got the most votes – by quite a lot! I don’t have the exact tally because it was such a clear winner.
